OPTION 1: IN THE APP (INSTANT)

 

1. Open the Co2Exist app and log in.

2. Go to Profile › Account details.

3. Tap Delete my account and confirm.

 

Your account is deleted straight away and you are logged out.

 

 

OPTION 2: ASK US BY EMAIL

 

If you can't use the app, email info@co2exist.com with the subject "Delete my Co2Exist account", from the email address you signed up with, and include the mobile number on the account. We will confirm and delete the account within 30 days. You can also WhatsApp or call us on +91 88508 70754.

 

 

WHAT IS DELETED

 

- Your login (email and password)

- Your name, mobile number and email address

- Your saved pickup addresses

- Your bank account, IFSC, PAN and UPI details

- Your notification settings and device tokens

- Your community, society or college memberships and waitlist sign-ups

- Any pickups that were booked but not yet collected (they are cancelled), and any recurring pickup plans

 

 

WHAT IS KEPT, AND FOR HOW LONG

 

Completed pickups (date, weight, amount paid), payouts and tree orders, with your name, phone and address removed

- Why: required for accounting and tax records

- How long: as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require, generally up to 8 years

 

Tree certificates already issued (certificate number, the name printed on it, number of trees, site and planting date)

- Why: so a certificate you or a gift recipient shared can still be verified

- How long: for as long as the trees are tracked. Email us if you want the name removed from a certificate.

 

Apart from the name printed on issued certificates, these records no longer show your name, email or phone number.
