Why take action?
Global temperatures are soaring. Since 1980, each decade has been warmer than the previous one. Collectively, the last decade has been the warmest decade ever since thermometer based record-keeping began in 1880. ​ According to the data gathered by NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), the global average temperature in 2020 tied with that of 2016, making it the hottest year on record. 2021 and 2022 have joined the list of top 10 warmest years on record. The last seven years have been the warmest ever. The world, as we know it, is accelerating towards mass extinction probably hundred times faster than over the last ten million years.
