What is Carbon Offsetting?
Carbon offsetting is the act of compensating for greenhouse gas emissions. Individuals and corporates can invest in the restoration the environment to balance their own carbon footprint. The polluting entity purchases carbon offset credits, the money from which is used to fund projects anywhere in the world to reduce or remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, the top contributor to climate change.
