What is Carbon Footprint?
Every living being has an impact on the planet. All our daily activities cause emissions of greenhouse gases (including carbon dioxide and methane). For example, we produce greenhouse gases by burning fossil fuel for transport, burning oil for heating and cooking food, consuming electricity generated from coal and several other such actions.
Simply put, the sum of these greenhouse emissions is known as carbon footprint, expressed as carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2 e).
